Our next Antique Auction will be Saturday, March 23rd at 10 a.m.
This huge special auction will include items from the personal collection of Richard D. Hatch including 40 lamps by Tiffany (8 including floor lamp), Handel, Pairpoint, Daum, Galle, Quezal and others. A huge collection of art glass including Galle, Daum, Tiffany, Steuben, Quezal, Loetz, Baccarat and others. The collection was assembled in his 46 years in business and represents some of the finest to be offered in years.
Sale also includes fine artwork including approx. 100 pcs. of original illustration art (even Saturday Evening Post covers) by John Lehti and others, early portraits, listed artists and more, Items from the estate of George Francis Train, famous American who ran for President in 1872, collection of superb sets of plates by Tiffany, Royal Doulton and others, collection of Dorothy Doughty bird figurines, Meissen and other porcelains, fine sterling flatware and holloware, the finest estate jewelry in years including diamond and gemstone jewelry galore, collection of bronzes including items by Oscar Bach, carved marble busts, antique furniture, fine Persian rugs, Chinese and Japanese collection including items from the estate of an Ambassador to Japan, books so much more.
Preview party on Friday noon to 6 p.m. Mr. Hatch looks forward to this special time to share stories and answer questions, as he begins a new chapter in business! He will remain in the auction business but changing to on-line only auctions of mainly jewelry, sterling silver, coins and high-quality smalls. He will be based out of a Bradenton, Florida office. He will continue for a while to have an office in North Carolina and help service and consult with our regular clientele. We hope you come share in this our last auction in North Carolina, though a bittersweet time for Mr. Hatch, he has had the honor of having well over 100,000 customers and doing what he loves, so far for 46 years!
